Since its National Day, we made these red and white agar agar treats for dessert for our National Day Party.
6-8 servings, 60min including setting
200ml coconut cream
400ml coconut milk
2 tbsp Agar Agar Powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup sugar
3 cups of water
8 pandan leaves
red food colouring
Cut up 4 pandan leaves into 2cm lengths into a pot, add coconut cream, coconut milk, 1/4 tsp salt, 1/4 cup sugar and 1 tbsp of Agar Agar Powder and boil. Once boiled pour into mold, carefully sieving out the pandan leaves. Let set.
Whilst the coconut portion is setting in the mold, add remaining pandan leaves, also cut into 2cm lengths into another pot, add 3 cups water, 3/4 cup sugar, 1 tbsp of Agar Agar Powder, red food colouring and boil.
Once boiled, pour gently on top of the coconut layer before its fully set, sieving out the cut up pandan leaves. Let set 45 minutes in the fridge.
